Workshop description

Workshop is led by Leyla Rzayeva, '09 Tamarind Professional Printer.

Make monotypes using all non-toxic materials. Spend the morning painting and hand printing using plexi-glass, gum arabic and non-toxic materials such as watercolors, crayons, and graphite. Participants will leave with up to eight 9x12" prints and resource list.

Is the workshop right for me?

All materials are included. No prior printmaking experience is necessary. Workshop is appropriate for ages 14 and up.

Leyla Rzayeva is an Azerbaijani and Russian American artist. She received BFA in Painting and Printmaking from Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland and holds a Professional Printer Certificate from Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a pioneer workshop dedicated to reviving the art of lithography and printmaking in United States. In 2015 Rzayeva founded Clubhouse Lithography Workshop, offering artists tools and space to create original prints. http://rzayeva.com/
