I create sites to imagine, unlearn and re-write.

My photographs and scuptures expand on the gestures and traces of my body to build sculptural props and visual sequences. Through image-making, reflection, and props I test visibility and self-possession. My interest in thinking and drawing with the malleability and transparency of the wire, working with a stage and the language of a photography studio, offers reframing. I understand photography as an act of disclosure, giving away and letting something slip in a moment of relaxation or intensity. My photography and sculpture trace a pathway without a straight matrix of visibility; they describe a space of constant becoming and looking over your shoulder at the history of inheritance, especially for diasporic families.
